Welcome!
Welcome to Southern Rise Education Centre, which incorporates Wodonga South Primary School and Southern Rise Children’s Centre. We are extremely proud of our centre and the quality of education we provide to students from birth to Year 6. Your child’s education is very important and we look forward to sharing this exciting time with you. Together, parents and teachers can provide the support and encouragement needed to make your child’s schooling both enjoyable and successful.
Schools are dynamic ‘people organisations’ and, as a community, we all have a vested interest in the well-being of our students. The working relationship between the home and school is a vital link to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for your child. Wodonga South Primary is a safe, happy and caring school where all students, teachers and parents are consistently valued and supported in each other’s right to work and learn.
We appreciate that you will have many questions and we are only too happy to answer these. The best advertisements for our school come from our parents, children and the staff. Please feel free to ask them, why they think Wodonga South Primary is such a great school!
“You are welcome to visit Southern Rise Education Centre to tour its excellent facilities and see the programs in operation. We are confident that you will be impressed with the atmosphere we have developed that is so conducive to learning”

What happens when we’ve lost our library book?
Overdue book notices are e-mailed home to families weekly, please check your junk folder if these are not coming through to your inbox, letters are also sent home with students after their library session so don’t forget to check their school bags regularly for notes.
Students with overdue books unfortunately are unable to borrow until a substantial effort has been made to locate the missing book and family communication has been received.
You can discuss your child’s library account with Jules in person, via e-mail or over the phone.
E-mail: [email protected]
Please add to your e-mail subject line ATTN: Jules Library
Phone: 02 6056 3255
When students inform us that they’ve lost their library book they are asked to do the following:
Check their classroom and pod library
Check yours and your friends class book boxes
Look for your book at home:
Check everywhere in your room including under your bed
Check on your home book shelf
Check your car
Look in family members houses or cars
Help me check the library shelves
It is expected that families/parents will communicate with the school if their child still can’t locate their book after searching in all places listed above.
Families have the opportunity to replace the missing title or make a financial contribution so the library can replace the missing title all of which will be discussed when your family contacts the school.
We thank you for your assistance in keeping our library shelves full.
